If you’re still waiting for the letter you’ve been longing for to arrive in the post, allowing you to join the most famous wizarding school in the magical world, don’t wait around. While the postman doesn’t ring your doorbell, head to ArrábidaShopping, in Vila Nova de Gaia, and take part in the Harry Potter – Wizard School, the first escape room in the north of the country, with two rooms, inspired by the fantastic world created by J.K.Rowling.
In these escape rooms, participants will take on the role of Hogwarts warlocks and wizards. “In the adventure related to the first film, you board the Hogwarts Express via Platform 9 ¾ and begin the most mind-blowing journey, in which you have 60 minutes to escape without the dementors noticing,” they announce in a statement.
In the second room, participants need to decide which team they want to represent during their time at the wizarding school, as well as demonstrate their skills in controlling the flying broom. “Everything in this room opens up with the help of the team and the ability to unravel mysteries,” they add.
The Harry Potter – Wizard School Escape Room is on Level 2 of the shopping centre, next to the cinemas; the sessions last one hour and groups can be between two and six people. If you’re interested, birthday parties can also be organised here, with the possibility of ordering in or bringing in outside caterers. The price is €15/person, and children under 5 are free.
